Discipline order

​Under Section 39.1 of the Health Professions Act, the Discipline Committee determined on Jan. 11, 2018 that it is necessary to impose safeguards on Ms. Elizabeth Kipperberg’s pr​​​actice to ensure public protection in British Columbia. The Discipline Committee makes the following orders:

  1. Effective immediately, the Registrant is restricted to practicing as a registered nurse only in a setting that is pre-approved in writing by the Registrar of CRNBC, such as a doctor’s office or medical clinic where RN duties are limit​ed to basic nursing care and she will not have responsibility for caring for complex or acutely ill patients;

  2. Prior to commencing employment as a registered nurse, the Registrant must: (i) first provide a copy of these Reasons for Decision and Order to her prospective employer(s); and (ii) provide CRNBC with a letter from her prospective employer(s) confirming that each employer has read the Reasons for Decision and Order;

  3. The Registrant must submit annual performance evaluations from her employer(s), satisfactory to the Registrar of CRNBC, for a period of five (5) years from the date of this Order;

  4. The Registrant must undertake such further remedial action on the terms directed by the Discipline Committee in the event that the performance evaluation(s) are not satisfactory to CRNBC; and

  5. The Registrant must meet as directed by a CRNBC Professional Practice Consultant to discuss her standards of practice and ethical obligations prior to commencing employment as a registered nurse in British Columbia.
