Consent agreement

Mar 25, 2019

A panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement under which the Registrant agreed to undertakings involving regular medical monitoring for fitness to practice nursing and a limitation on area of practice. The undertakings include, but are not limited to: confirmation from a monitoring physician that fitness to practice remains unimpaired, ancillary services to support a return to work, sensitivity training related to identified conduct concerns, coursework on professionalism in nursing, and a limitation from being in a supervisory or managerial position. The Agreement will remain in place for a minimum of two years of nursing practice. The reasons for the Inquiry Committee decision are as follows:

  • The Registrant demonstrated a pattern of concerning conduct in the workplace that at times occurred in front of and/or involved patients.
  •  During investigation, the Registrant provided medical evidence documenting health concerns present at the time of the concerning incidents and which the physician deemed had contributed to the Registrant's conduct.

The name of the Registrant has been withheld in accordance with section 39.3 (4) (a) of the Health Professions Act for the purposes of not identifying the personal health information of the Registrant respecting the condition. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the undertakings will protect the public.
