Consent agreement

Mar 29, 2019

On March 29, 2019 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Denise Daigle of Kimberley, to remediate issues related to off-duty conduct that led to criminal charges. Specifically, the Registrant was involved in an incident on June 3, 2016 in which she evaded efforts made by police officers from Salmon Arm, Chase and Kamloops to stop her vehicle.  The matter was resolved by way of a guilty plea to three charges in Kamloops (dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, and impaired driving).  She received two conditional 30 days sentences and an 18 month probation order, as well as a $1,000 fine and a one year driving prohibition.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms, including: a suspension of practising registration for a two-week period, a public reprimand, and a period of monitoring.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
