Scott, Donna, RN

Consent agreement

Jul 5, 2019

On July 5, 2019, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Donna Scott of Surrey, to remediate practice issues that occurred from July 2017 to October 2018, and that are related to medication administration, incomplete and/or delayed documentation, poor communication, delayed response to call bells, lack of accountability and responsibility, lack of knowledge with regards to the care and management of nasogastric tubes and enteral feeding pumps, continuous bladder infusions, inappropriate time management, and failure to check physician orders.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and condition on practice, including: undergoing a period of oversight in the workplace (including random chart and practice audits with a supervisor), and a twelve-month limit precluding practice as the sole RN or as the in-charge RN, or in a supervisory capacity of any kind. The Registrant has agreed to additional terms including disclosure to employers, remedial education, and a regulatory practice consultation.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
