Consent agreement

On July 9, 2019, a panel of the lnquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and LPN Registrant Alice Elisha (Maxine) Walcott of Surrey, BC, to remediate practice issues related to unprofessional conduct, including unprofessional dialogue with residents and co-workers, failure to leave a change of shift report for oncoming staff, leaving the workplace prior to the arrival of the oncoming staff, failure to maintain control of the narcotic keys, failure to conduct a change-of-shift narcotic count with two nurses consistent with the facility's Controlled Dugs and Substances policy, and failure to account for a narcotic discrepancy.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: coursework on professionalism and ethics, and a 12 month period of practice oversight, including mandatory workplace supervision.

The lnquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
