Guarin, Rechelle , RN

Consent agreement

Aug 9, 2019

On August 9, 2019 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Rechelle Senorin Guarin, Registered Nurse, of Vancouver, to remediate practice issues related to her failure to meet BCCNP's standards with respect to medication administration, documentation, communication regarding patient status between members of the health care team, and basic infection control measures. Further, the Registrant failed to engage honestly and ethically with the regulator during the course of the investigation into her nursing practice.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a 14-day suspension and terms equivalent to a limit and condition on practice, including: a one-year Limit prohibiting her from being in-charge and being the sole RN on duty; the Registrant must complete a recognized RN Re-entry Program as well as other coursework prior to returning to nursing practice; the Registrant must undergo a Regulatory Practice Consultation and she will develop a robust learning plan that will be supervised in her practice environment.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
