Agar, Daniel, LPN

Consent agreement

Aug 15, 2019

On August 15, 2019, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Daniel Agar of Summerland, British Columbia.

In January 2018, the lapsed registrant failed to offer and administer ordered medications to residents but documented that he had done so or that the residents had refused them; and failed to assess or document a resident’s neurological status after a fall or to administer medications as ordered.

Mr. Agar has allowed his practising registration to lapse. In addition, he has voluntarily agreed to the following terms, should he be granted practising registration in the future: a suspension of one month followed by a six-month condition requiring direct supervision and an additional 12-month limit precluding acting as sole nurse on duty. Education is also required within six months.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
