Consent agreement

Oct 31, 2019

On October 31, 2019, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Rowena Schuster of Vancouver, to remediate practice issues related to errors in medication administration, failure to document, poor clinical decision making, and professional responsibility.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a condition on practice, including: a four week suspension, a reprimand, limiting her practice to one work unit, meeting with a BCCNP Practice Support Consultant to complete a self-assessment identifying the circumstances leading to the current issues and preventing their recurrence, engaging in mentored orientation of 3 months upon returning to practice, disclosing the Consent Agreement to the employer for oversight purposes, and providing monthly reports to BCCNP.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
