Ellen Pearson, LPN

Consent agreement

Feb 14, 2020

On February 14, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Ellen Pearson of Kelowna related to her diversion of narcotic medications from her employer in 2019. The diversion was confirmed by the employer in the summer of 2019 and reported to BCCNP. Ms. Pearson has now admitted to the diversion but has not provided any explanation as to the reason for diverting narcotics or the destination of the diverted narcotics Ms. Pearson agreed to convert to non-practising registration during the investigation.

The Registrant has agreed to resolve the matter by way of a Consent Agreement including:

  • The cancellation of her registration to practice as a nurse.
  • Public notice of the reason for the cancellation.
  • An agreement not to apply for reinstatement of registration for at least five years, at which time she would need to meet the character, competence and fitness requirements of registration. Past matters would be considered at that time.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
