Consent agreement

​On March 20, 2020, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Shelley Blum, Licensed Practical Nurse, of Fort St. John, B.C., to remediate practice issues related to her failure to follow the seven rights of medication administration and to document accurately on the clinical record. Ms. Blum did not practice in accordance with the BCCNP standards related to Responsibility and Accountability, Competency­ based Practice, Client-Focused Provision of service and Ethical Practice. The Registrant has agreed o a reprimand and to complete remedial education and to engage in a Regulatory Practice Consultation to address these practice deficits.

The Registrant has also voluntarily agreed to a seven-day suspension for deliberately contravening Northern Health Authority's Privacy and Confidentiality policy when she accessed her own personal electronic health records.

The Inquiry committee is satisfied that these terms will protect the public.
