Consent agreement

May 28, 2020

A panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement under which the Registrant agreed to convert registration to non-practising. In order to return to practice in the future, the Registrant would have to meet all registration requirements as determined by the Registration Committee. The reasons for the Inquiry Committee decision are as follows:

  1. Following a complaint to BCCNP from her employer, the Registrant has acknowledged deficits in her nursing practice with respect to communication, documentation, assessments, history taking, organization, medication knowledge, and professional responsibility and accountability.
  2. The Registrant provided independent medical information documenting health concerns to BCCNP which could impact the ability to provide safe patient care; and
  3. The independent medical information identified the Registrant is not fit to practice nursing at this time.

The name of the Registrant has been withheld in accordance with section 39.3 (4) (a) of the Health Professions Act for the purposes of not identifying the personal health information of the Registrant respecting the condition. The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the undertakings will protect the public.
