Chenard, Nannette, RN

Consent agreement

Jun 20, 2020

On June 20, 2020  a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Nannette Chenard of Clearwater, BC, to remediate practice issues that occurred in September of 2019 related to failing to administer a unit of blood as ordered to a patient with a low hemoglobin, failing to assess, triage and document on a 5 month old infant, failing to don personal protective equipment while caring for a patient who was C. difficile positive, and allowing the patient to leave her room to take a bath at the adjacent facility.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to the following terms: a two day suspension of registration, remedial education related to communication, ethics, professional standards and conflict resolution, a regulatory practice consultation program, development of a learning plan including obtaining written employer feedback at regular intervals.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
