On August 18, 2020 a Registrant entered into a Consent Agreement with the BCCNP in order to remediate conduct and fitness concerns. The Registrant attended work impaired, conducted nursing duties while impaired and drove themselves to and from their shift while impaired. Following the incident the Registrant was diagnosed with a severe alcohol use disorder.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed not to repeat the conduct, as well as regular monitoring of fitness to practice nursing for a period of three years.
The name of the Registrant has been withheld in accordance with section 39.3(4)(a) of the
Health Professions Act for the purposes of not identifying the personal health information of the Registrant respecting the condition.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the undertakings will protect the public.
