Christine Johnson, RN

Consent agreement

Sep 3, 2020

On September 2, 2020 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNP and Christine Johnson of Delta, BC, to remediate practice issues that occurred between July of 2019 and February of 2020 related to practising outside of scope by fitting a pessary without an order, failing to adequately assess and document interventions and client responses to interventions, and failing to develop a professional nurse-client relationship and respond to client questions and concerns in an appropriate, trauma-informed manner.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to a two month suspension for the conduct. The Registrant has also agreed to a limit to refrain from engaging in teaching or supervision, and a period of practice oversight including a documentation audit. The Registrant will also complete a regulatory practice consultation program, and remedial education related to ethics, scope of practice, professionalism, communication, documentation, trauma-informed practice and sensitivity training.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
