The four nursing designations — LPN, NP, RN, and RPN — are regulated by the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). The videos below refer to the former college (College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC). We appreciate your patience while we update our learning modules to reflect our new name and brand.
Please note: the following LPN jurisprudence videos were
created specifically for LPNs and apply to LPN jurisprudence.
As of April 1, 2019, Jurisprudence is discontinued as a QA requirement for LPNs.
Nursing jurisprudence is the study and application of law as it relates to the legal principles, regulations and standards that govern the practice of nursing. While the jurisprudence QA requirement for LPNs has been eliminated, the education videos remain relevant.
Jurisprudence education takes you through six days in the life of an LPN. Each day, you will encounter a variety of practice settings, clients, colleagues and scenarios. Click on an image to begin.
