Temporary registration can be issued for up to 90 days to qualified Canadian registered nurses participating in a special event. A
special event is a non-routine activity that is time limited, such as a conference or special gathering of people, or a clinical education program.
Once all requirements have been met, temporary registration will be issued and confirmation provided via e-mail. Please note that it is illegal to engage in the practice of nursing in British Columbia until you have received confirmation that temporary registration has been granted. Individuals found to have engaged in the practice of nursing without registration may be subject to Professional Conduct Review.
