 Payment methods and receipts

How can I pay?

BCCNP accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit card (American Express, VISA and MasterCard)
  • INTERAC Online (Bank of Montreal, RBC, Scotiabank, Envision Financial Credit Union, and TD Canada Trust clients.)
  • Pre-authorized payment plan (PAP) for registration renewal only
Where can I find my receipt?

Sign into your online account to print:

  • Tax receipts
  • Other receipts, including receipts for registration fees (not an official tax receipt).
Tax receipts become available in January. Receipts for previous years are available at any time. It will reflect the total annual amount you paid for registration and reflects any refunds (as applicable) received during the year.

PAP program: An easier way to pay

The Pre-authorized payment (PAP) program enables you to pay for the following year’s renewal fees over the course of the year, rather than paying a lump sum during the registration renewal period. You still have to complete your registration renewal application, but when it comes time to pay, you’ll have most – if not all – of your registration fee payment ready to go.
How does it work?
  • Each month, BCCNP automatically deducts a portion of the following year’s fees from your bank account.
  • The monthly amount deducted is based on current fee levels. This means that if there is a fee increase, you will have a small balance owing when you renew your registration.
  • During the renewal period, you will complete your renewal application as usual, but this time, most or all of your fees will be paid from the amount you have contributed throughout the year.
  • Pre-authorized payments continue from year to year, so you only need to sign up once.
When can I start?

If you hold current registration, you can join the PAP program today using the appropriate application below (in the "Apply" section below).

The first year you join the PAP program, it will feel like you’re paying for the same year twice (but you’re not!). This is because there are two separate payments happening:

  1. You will pay for your current registration year in a lump sum
  2. You will pay monthly deductions from your bank account to pay for the following year.

Example: If you decide to join the PAP program during the 2019-20 renewal period, you will pay your 2019-20 registration fee in a lump sum. Monthly deductions for the 2020-21 year will also start.
