Which of the following count towards my BCCNP nursing practice hours?

A: Working as a care aide

That's not correct. You cannot count hours that you work as a care aide. To qualify for practice hours, you must be working within BCCNP's Professional Standards.

B: Working as a registered psychiatric nurse

That's not correct. You cannot count hours that you work as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse. To qualify for practice hours, you must be working within BCCNP's Professional Standards.

C: Teaching in a practical nursing education program

Correct! Teaching practical nursing students counts towards nursing practice hours because you are using your LPN knowledge and working within BCCNP's Professional Standards.

D: Selling health supplements

That's not correct. You cannot count hours that you work selling health supplements. To qualify for practice hours, you must be working within BCCNP's Professional Standards. Registrants cannot use their title to advertise or sell products or services unless the product or service relates directly to the profession.​​
