Update: Online services came back online on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.
Since Monday, Feb. 3, the system that supports NP, RN and RPN online services has experienced intermittent slowness and performance issues. This unexpected technical issue has led to some registrants being able to complete their registration renewal while others cannot. Access to the multi-source feedback system, prescription pad ordering and accessing online services like receipts, have also been impacted.
Users have experienced extended periods of system downtime as we work to resolve this issue, and we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused. Our technical team is working to stabilize the system as soon as possible. We are committed to providing with updates about this evolving situation on our website homepage and online services sign-in page by 10 am daily, and as often as possible throughout the day. We will continue to provide these updates until the system performance issue has been resolved.
Our technical investigation seems to indicate that the high volume of registrants attempting to retrieve their renewal payment receipts is contributing to our system performance issues. In order to limit the impact of this volume on our system, we have temporarily turned off the ability for registrants to download their receipts from their BCCNP account. We understand this may cause frustration for registrants, and we are currently investigating different methods of delivering renewal receipts. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritise the needs of those registrants who have not yet been able to complete their registration renewal and multi-source feedback requirements.
