COVID-19 Update: Temporary emergency registration available

Mar 16, 2020

Updated March 24, 2020

Due to the volume of applications received, please do not apply for temporary registration unless you meet all the criteria. This will enable us to process applications for eligible individuals more efficiently.

At the request of the B.C government, we have made temporary emergency registration available to assist in the COVID-19 pandemic response. Please note: Practising registrants do NOT require temporary emergency registration.

Temporary emergency registration will be granted to individuals who meet the criteria outlined below. All fees will be waived for individuals who apply for temporary emergency registration and applications will be prioritized for quick turnaround times.

Eligibility for temporary emergency registration

The following individuals are eligible for temporary emergency registration:

Former LPN, NP, RN and RPN registrants who are in good standing and meet the practice hours requirement

LPNs, RNs and RPNs with current practicing registration in good standing in Canada
