Updated: PHSA eLearning modules for MAiD assessors and prescribers

The eLearning course designed for potential assessors and prescribers of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in B.C. was reviewed and updated by the Provincial MAiD Working Group in December 2018 to include content on the Nov. 1, 2018, changes to provincial oversight and reporting for MAiD.

Updates include:

  • Explanation of the new reporting requirements for assessors and prescribers
  • Explanation of the updated and new provincial MAiD forms
  • Improved wording throughout the course to clarify the content for learners
  • Further clarification on what "10 clear days" means
  • Updated questions in the quiz
  • Updated MAiD resource documents in the resource section of the course

The course is called Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) for Assessors and Prescribers.
