If you answered YES, the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) is hiring two Regulatory Learning Advisors (RL Advisors).

As an RL Advisor, you will provide resources, services and guidance to registrants, consultants, employers, nursing education programs and other stakeholders to support their understanding and application of the Standards of Practice to ensure ethical and competent care in BC.​

BCCNP is the college empowered under the Health Professions Act to regulate the practice of all licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses and nurse practitioners in British Columbia. What you will be doing

Reporting to the Director, Practice Support & Regulatory Learning, and working as a key member of the team, the RL Advisor acts as a guide, educator, facilitator and coach.

The RL Advisor plans, develops, delivers and evaluates regulatory learning resources, provides services to registrants and students, and engages stakeholders.

The RL Advisor also informs and supports nurses and students in understanding and applying the Standards of Practice, by working within registrant learning and student engagement framework.

Responsibilities ​​​include​

  • ​​​​Plan, develop, and evaluate the programs and services to support regulatory learning. This includes dissemination and application of standards related to the student program and ongoing registrant learning.

  • Ensure programs and services are evidence-based, efficient and effective and reflect leading practices and relational regulation.
  • Use multiple delivery methods, leveraging technologies wherever possible, to provide programs and deliver services.
  • Develop dissemination plans and communication strategies to inform students, registrants, employers and other key stakeholders of BCCNP's standards of practice.
  • Facilitate and manage regulatory learning related to Regulatory Policy & Programs and other departments throughout the organization.
  • Facilitate, contribute to, and manage regulatory learning related to standards dissemination and ongoing registrant learning.
  • Facilitate, contribute to, and manage regulatory learning related to the student program.
  • Participate and contribute to policy development for the department as well as the implementation of operational strategic initiatives. 


  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, plus a master's degree in nursing, business administration or adult education required.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in a variety of nursing practice settings. Experience in a variety of clinical, education and administrative and/or outreach roles is preferred.
  • Experience in adult education development, and delivery of workshops and presentation is required. Experience with developing online materials and developing and delivering online education in a web-based environment is preferred.
  • Experience with basic project management methodologies and demonstrated ability to achieve project deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and facilitation skills to effectively manage and meet timelines for concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the application of regulatory practices, legislation related to regulation and nursing practice, and professional and practice standards an asset.
  • Working level knowledge and experience using MS Office, MS CRM Dynamics, and MS SharePoint experience an asset.
  • Must hold practising registration in good standing with BCCNP or be eligible and obtain practising registration upon hire. ​

Note: This position is based out of the BCCNP office in downtown Vancouver; however, provincial travel is required on occasion.
