Call for resolutions: 2019 BCCNP A​GM 


  • The BCCNP Bylaws provide that any ten registrants in good standing with the college may deliver a written notice to the registrar not fewer than 30 days before the date of a general meeting requesting the consideration of a resolution at the AGM. 
  • Resolutions can also be submitted directly to the Board at anytime during the year. 
  • Resolutions are advisory-only: The Board decides what action, if any, it will take on resolutions approved at a general meeting. 

Eligibility criteria

  • Resolution must be signed by 10 BCCNP registrants in good standing. 
  • The subject matter of the resolution:

    - Falls within the scope of BCCNP’s mandate. 
    - Is not inconsistent with the legislation governing      BCCNP. 
  • The resolution meets the provisions set out in s. 212 (12) of the BCCNP Bylaws: A resolution considered at a general meeting, whether passed or defeated, does not and must not purport to

    (a) invalidate any prior act of the board, any committee of the college, the registrar or any officer, employee or agent of the college, or 

    (b) bind the board, any committee of the college, the registrar or any officer, employee or agent of the college in the exercise of its or their powers or in the performance of its or their duties under the Act or any other enactment.

  • Complete the AGM Resolutions: Written Notice Request for Consideration form 
  • Save a copy of the form & submit via email to

AGM resolutions submitted by registrants in good standing by the deadlin​e and that meet the eligibility criteria will be posted on​​ the BCCNP website not fewer than 14 days before the AGM. ​
